BlackBerry Z10 The BlackBerry Z10 has finally arrived in January 2013, after what has been a very tough year for the company and with the rumoured iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S4 handsets, the battle has only just begun. Launched alongside the physical keyboard-toting BlackBerry Q10, the Z10′s current competitors take the shape of the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X and Nokia Lumia 920. Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo could be a new low-end Android smartphone
Looks like the rumored Galaxy Pocket Plus may not be the only ultra low-end smartphone Samsung has in stock for this year. Word on the street has it that another humble handset is in the works, scheduled to hit the market in May or earlier. The device in question is said to be called the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo, and given its entry-level nature, its specs won’t make any jaws drop. It is rumored that the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo comes with a 3-inch QVGA screen – that’s 240 by... (more...)
Nokia Lumia 620
The Lumia 620 is Nokia’s the new masterpiece for the global masses. Iits fun, youthful design so typical of the Lumia line will help it stand out from competitors in the same price point. Still a dual-core Windows 8 phone with front and rear cameras, the 620 isn’t as stacked with high-end features as its fellows — the screen comes in sub-4 inches, there are some design flaws, and there’s no wireless charging. However, NFC, an anti-glare screen, and a decent camera make it... (more...)
About HTC M7
The HTC M7 is rumored to be the manufacturer’s upcoming “flagship” device. It is said to have a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, a 5-inch 1080p display and a 13 MP camera, all enclosed in an aluminum unibody chasis. Not much else is known, but we should be hearing more about this bad boy either at CES or MWC. I have heard that this pretty gadget will run on Android 4.x Jelly Bean and will come with 32 GB internal memory and 2GB RAM. Read More →

Verizon Wireless customers that purchased or received their iPhone 5 pre-orders today discovered a nice surprise when activating their devices, as multiple reports have confirmed that the nanoSIM slot in the phone is fully unlocked and will read both AT&T and T-Mobile SIM cards, regardless of purchase under contract or an outright purchase in order to preserve unlimited data access. For Verizon to release one of the most highly anticipated devices of the year with a fully open SIM slot with support... (more...)

Nokia and Microsoft Present Lumia 820 and 920 Windows Phone 8 Flagships
Recently Microsoft and Nokia staged a joint event to announce their forthcoming Windows Phone 8 flagship in the Lumia 820 and 920 smartphones. Both phones will be released later this year with the old saw of being made initially available “in select markets” which means very little to the majority of people that will read this. The phones themselves are an evolution of the previous Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 900 with the following specifications: Display: 4.5 inch Nokia PureMotion HD+ WXGA IPS... (more...)

Samsung Announces Galaxy Note II
As expected after weeks of leaks, Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Note II, and this version reflects subtle changes for the better rather than a massive redesign. Starting with the bodyshell, the new design takers obvious cues from the Galaxy S III with a new HD Super AMOLED display at 5.5 inches, which is actually .3 inches smaller than the display found on the recently announced Galaxy Player 5.8 with an even denser pixel density, as the Note II’s display is set at 720p resolution... HTC Desire X
Since the unveiling of the HTC One series in February, many had wondered whether HTC would continue other popular series such as the Desire line of devices. Choice is good, and while HTC has certainly overextended themselves in years past, they appear to be more focused on building out the successful brands – one of those being Desire. The HTC Desire X is a new Android smartphone that’s coming to Europe with a 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 4-inch Super LCD, 5-megapixel camera... (more...)

Gaming on the Mobile phone
Back just a few years ago, the possibility of being able to experience HD graphics on a portable device was a pipe dream. We were not even at the stage where HD televisions were widely available yet, and mobile phones were just beginning to appear with colour screens. Gaming devices have come on in leaps and bounds since those days. The technology that was innovative and cutting edge back then informed and inspired what we know today, but nonetheless, the technology that was available even... (more...)
Samsung Galaxy S III vs HTC One X
My carrier contract is about to expire in a month or so and I’ll definitely use the opportunity to get the new phone with a new two-year contract. Two devices that top my list are the Samsung Galaxy S III and HTC One X, both rocking pretty similar specs. As an existing (and pretty satisfied) Galaxy S II owner I’m inclined to get Samsung’s smartphone, even though its camera isn’t as great as the one HTC’s baby sports. However, SGS3 does have a slightly bigger screen which is always a plus,... (more...)
