While there were a lot of reports recently that T-Mobile’s G1 presales had hit 1.5 million units, news is filtering out now that those figures are inaccurate, and the real figure could be somewhere between 200,000 to 300,000 units. While the G1 is a highly anticipated phone, even Apple’s iPhone took about 74 days to hit a million, which does make the reports of 1.5 million G1’s pre-sold a little farfetched. Of course, no official figures have been released just yet, but one thing is for sure, whatever the figures say, everybody seems to be eagerly waiting for the G1 to be launched.
