LG SH470 Arrives In Korea

LG’s SH470, which is also known as the Edge, has finally arrived in Korea. The phone certainly is a rather pretty looking entry-level handset, though it does skimp on the features a little bit. Features of the phone include:

* LED touch pad
* 2.2″ QVGA TFT LCD display
* Dual cameras (2 megapixels and VGA)
* Mobile messaging support

LG Prada II Is Delayed

If you’ve been hoping to get the LG Prada II from Santa this Christmas, you might be a little disappointed as the phone has been delayed, by a few weeks at best. You wouldn’t want to hold your breath in anticipation that it will be released by Christmas. Of course, hopefully LG does manage to get this phone out in time, as it would make a rather nice gift, especially since the phone has features such as:

* Quad-band GSM/EDGE, dual-band HSDPA (850MHz/2100MHz)
* 3″ display at 240 × 400 resolution
* 5 megapixel autofocus camera with flash and VGA recording
* Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity
* Wi-Fi b,g connectivity
* Infineon MP-EH + M180 chipset
* Integrated motion sensor
* Built-in FM radio

BlackBerry Storm Online Manual

BlackBerry Storm Online Manual

RIM is probably trying to follow the trend a little here. Just like T-Mobile’s G1, there is now an online interactive instruction manual for the BlackBerry 9530 Storm. While this interactive manual is all fine and dandy, it would be a lot more fun if the phone were to be released already.

Nokia 5800 Pricing Explained

Nokia 5800 Pricing Explained

You might be wondering why Nokia’s 5800 XpressMusic was priced at such an insane amount ($500), and it looks like the reason has been divulged. Apparently it’s because the phone comes with a €100 Nokia Music Store voucher and a 3-month subscription to Nokia Maps Navigation service. It seems that this is only valid through the holiday season, as the phone will retail at its original price of €279. This sure looks like a dirty method to milk more money out of unsuspecting early adopters over the holiday season.

There isn’t any additional information regarding the color scheme, but hopefully it will be available in stores sometime soon.

Some people might want phones that are laden with buttons and features, but there are also those that want a phone that is designed to look simple and clean, and that looks like what Porsche Design were going for when they designed the P’9522. The phone does look very neat and tidy, and you also have your fingerprint scanner in the middle of the phone. The phone looks like it will be sporting GSM 850/1900 only, and 3G. The huge display looks like it will be a selling point, though there isn’t any mention on the price of the phone just yet. Interested

T-Mobile G1 In Asia In First Half Of 2009

Folks over in Asia will be happy to hear reports going around the Internet that HTC will begin to ship its Android-powered G1 phone to clients in Asia-Pacific in the first half of 2009, which isn’t all that far away. With the success and hype that the G1 has received, it’s hard to imagine the G1 not doing well over at Asia.

No Motorola AURA On eBay

In fact, the only party that you’ll be legally allowed to sell the phone to is Motorola. While it might be Motorola’s way of keeping the phone exclusive or something, it probably will leave a bitter taste in your mouth if you have to sell your phone back to the big M like that.

HTC Touch Pro Now On Sprint

The pricing isn’t too bad, though in order to qualify for the rebate you’ll need to pick up the Everything plan, Data Premier add-on, or PRO Pack add-on. That being said, those of you who are interested in getting the Touch Pro will probably want to get one of those data plans anyways, so it isn’t a deal breaker.

It looks like any phone that comes from Japan will make us drool, and Casio’s 830CA isn’t that much different. The phone, which will be available via Softbank in white, black, orange or grey color, will have some interesting features. While pricing isn’t available just yet, take a gander at the features of the phone:

* 5.2 megapixels
* Face Detection and Autofocus functions
* 3″ display at 240 x 427 resolution (weird figure that)
* HSDPA support

Early Adoption Soarig for Google Android Device

Early Adoption Soaring for Google Android Device

A surge in early adoption of the new G1 mobile handset — the first to incorporate Google Android mobile computing platform – indicates Apple’s iPhone may have another challenger for the title of hip mobile device, according to WebTrends.

During the first few days of availability, leading digital businesses such as Telegraph Media Group (TMG), publishers of the UK’s biggest selling quality daily newspaper The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.co.uk, have received significant traffic from the G1 handset from T-mobile. To date, a new Google Android application available at Telegraph.co.uk/mobile has generated more than 5,000 downloads and nearly 31,000 visits.

“Part of Android’s cachet is its encouragement of third-party development due to the openness of its platform. As a result, many businesses are already creating applications to increase brand awareness and engagement,” said Nick Sharp, VP and General Manager EMEA and Australasia, WebTrends. WebTrends updated its On Demand software to track and report on Google Android in its reports on Oct. 30, the day of the platform’s release in Europe.

Yay! It’s a good news for BlackBerry owners: get your A&T free hot-spots across the country: in the airports, Barnes and Noble bookstores, McDonald’s, and Starbucks! Well, it’s followed the previous announcement for iPhone users the other day.

AT&T informed us that BlackBerry access to the WiFi hotspots would begin with the BlackBerry Bold, which is set to be available on Tuesday, November 4th. Shortly following that, the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and BlackBerry 8820 will also gain free WiFi access. AT&T would not comment on the possibility of free WiFi service being extended to its other smartphones, such as the AT&T Tilt.
