LG Neon on AT&T

LG Neon on AT&T

A quick glance at the LG Neon and you’ll be able to deduce that it’s targeted at the younger crowd who love to send text messages and loathe holding voice conversations. If you think you’ve seen this phone before, it was probably the LG KS360, which is essentially the same phone, sans the carrier branding. There aren’t any pricing or availability details on this phone just yet, but stay tuned, and we’re sure AT&T will mention something sooner rather than later.

Samsung F480 La Fleur – A Phone for Valentine’s day

Samsung’s F480 is certainly a popular phone, so it isn’t too surprising to see that Samsung has come up with a few versions of the device, and next up is the Samsung F480 La Fleur, which stands for “the flower” in French (in case you skipped French class). This phone looks to try and make it in time for Valentine’s Day, and boyfriends should prepare to get a request for this phone from your girlfriends. The device will be available in Russia and possibly other European countries, though there isn’t a price tagged on the phone just yet.

New Gigabyte Smartphone At MWC 2009

More and more news related to the MWC 2009, which is just around the corner, are surfacing, and next up we have word that Gigabyte will be launching a new smartphone there. A picture of said smartphone is already available, though there aren’t any technical specifications just yet. It looks like the phone has a trackball in the center and minimal buttons, which has been the case since Apple launched its iPhone. Based on the picture, it’s most likely that the phone will sport a WVGA or WQVGA display. We’ll be getting more information during MWC, of course.

Motorola Stature i9 from Sprint

There probably aren’t too many good looking iDEN mobile phones out there, so Motorola’s i9 will certainly be an attractive option to Sprint subscribers. Sprint has announced that the device will be called the Motorola Stature i9, and it will be going on sale via Sprint Nextel and Boost Mobile channels. Samsung B5702: Dual Sim Phone

Samsung B5702 Dual Sim Phone

Dual-SIM phones aren’t abundant, so Samsung probably thinks that it can get ahead of other manufacturers by releasing another dual-SIM handset in the form of the Samsung B5702. It’s a slider phone, and from the looks of it, it won’t have a touchscreen. One of the nifty features of this phone is that there are 2 LEDs at the top of the phone, which will light up to indicate which SIM card is currently in use. Hopefully Samsung will announce this phone during MWC 2009; after all, it’s just around the corner.

Sony Ericsson W518 Has aGPS

Posted by arm On January - 22 - 2009

There seems to be some buzz about a Sony Ericsson W518 in the pipeline even as the world awaits the release of the W508 which, though officially announced in January, surprisingly, has not made the scene to date. The W518 is purported to have an added aGPS feature which the W508 does not have. No photo scoop yet is available on the W518, so just visualize along the lines of the W508 for now. Keep your eyes peeled for release and pricing updates anytime now!

Another Android Phone: General Mobile DSTL1

Another Android Phone General Mobile DSTL1

Word is out that General Mobile will be showing off the first dual-SIM Android phone at next month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Pictures of the phone, dubbed the DSTL1, are available online, though Android users will note that the button configuration isn’t too suited for Android, as you’d need 5 hardware buttons (home, back, menu, call send, call end) to get the phone to work properly. General Mobile has said that the front of the phone will be changed in order to accommodate Google’s Android, though it didn’t mention if such changes included the screen’s 400 x 240 pixel resolution. If the Kogan Agora’s 320 x 240 pixel display wasn’t enough for Android apps, this might not fare any better, though we’ll just have to believe that General Mobile knows what it’s doing. The phone is expected to ship in Q3 of 2009. Specifications of the phone (as of now) include:

* Dual-SIM cards with dual-Standby mode
* 624MHz Marvell PXA 310 processor
* Tri-band GSM/EDGE support (900/1800/1900MHz)
* 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, 260k colors
* 802.11b/g Wi-Fi support
* Bluetooth
* 135g (4.75oz), 112 x 54 x 16mm (4.4 x 2.1 x .6 inches)
* 5 megapixel autofocus camera with flash (made by Sharp)

Nokia Royal Lives Up To Its Name

Nokia Royal Lives Up To Its Name

Nokia should be fairly familiar with luxury handsets, especially since it has its Vertu line of luxury phones. Of course, that doesn’t mean that every luxury phone coming from Nokia will be under the Vertu brand, as evidenced by the Nokia Royal. You’ll get 8.2 cts of vvs, color ‘F’ diamonds, alongside approximately 1,160 individually set sparkling gems with this device. The main material of the exterior is solid platinum, which is held down by 8 handmade platinum screws. If you need to use up some cash for whatever reason, you could always pop over to the Colette store in Paris on January 31st to pick this up. It certainly won’t come cheap though, as there will only be 50 units of this device in existence.

Rumor Motorola ZN300

Motorola might be floundering, but that doesn’t mean that it’s out of cell phones. Pictures of the upcoming Motorola ZN300 have surfaced, and we also know that it will come with a 3-megapixel camera, have a 240 x 320 resolution display and Opera Mobile. The phone will most likely have 3G connectivity, but if that doesn’t materialize, EDGE would probably be the minimum for this phone. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction for Motorola.
