Powered by the Nokia latest Symbian 3, the Nokia N8 is surprisingly announced today with its powerful 12 megapixel camera and Xenon flash. The N8 will also go on sale in Q3 this year. Other than the dark grey version previewed our mobile-review, there are other colors available too in silver white, green, blue and orange. According to Nokia, the Xenon flash on the Nokia N8 is 30 percent smaller compare to its usual design but yet able to produce a similar level of flash power. The team has also improved the auto focusing speed, as well as a fast 150 milliseconds latency in the shutter release.
Other than taking 12 megapixel still picture, the Nokia N8 is capable of recording 720p HD video and edit them using its pre-installed editing suite. The HDMI connector will then allow you to easily play your videos with a much bigger TV screen. The first release of Symbian ^3 has also implemented with multi-tasking and gestures like multi touch, flick scrolling and pinch-zoom. There are different homescreens for you to customize with various apps and widgets.The Nokia N8 is Nokia’s first device to be integrated with Qt. Developers can now download the Nokia Qt SDK in beta to start develop software for the Nokia N8.
