BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell Phone

Posted by arm On May - 10 - 2010

We now have some information on the new BlackBerry 9670 CDMA flip phone, which is OS 6.0 ready. We mentioned a little earlier today about the new BlackBerry OS 6.0 and its features.

There have been lots of speculations about the release of a new Blackberry handset  in a clamshell shape. People have been excited but at the same time concerned about how it will look like and how well it will function as compared to the previous Blackberry models. We have on the following paragraphs the confirmation about these speculations and the already available specs of this mobile device.

The Blackberry 9670 is not just the first clamshell handset besides the Pearl Flip, it’s also the first mobile phone powered with OS 6.0. It is a CDMA handset equipped with a full QWERTY keypad which is the same as the 9700 Bold series, a 5.0 megapixel camera with a flash and auto-focus feature which is also a first for a Blackberry phone, a 360 x 480 internal display and a humungous, colorful external display. Both will include trackpad, as neither are touch screens.

The 9670 will also have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections and has support for microSD cards, and microUSB ports. It also has an optical mouse for easier screen navigation.

The entire package is then completed and polished by its metallic finished casing to make it updated and modern when it hits the shelves. It would be of no use if the phone will look outdated.

The clamshell 9670 phone from Blackberry has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. So there are a large percentage of consumerwho want to own their own Blackberry cell phone. I get that. In fact, I’d want the same. No need to enumerate the features that would encourage you to buy this. Let’s just instead have a brief review of this model.
