The share of Samsung Electronics in the US mobile market for the first time has surpassed 30% in its first quarter. As per the market researchers Strategy Analytics, Samsung has sold 12.3 million of its mobile devices in the market of US in the first 3 months of the year which has resulted into 30.1% of the total market. In the Canadian market the company was able to get the share of 26.5% in the quarter by selling its 600,000 units. The combined market share of Samsung in Canada and USA is 29.9% which has helped the company to maintain its top position in the market of North America for the seven quarters in a row. The second position in North America was grabbed by LG Electronics as it sold its 7.9 million units and had 18.3% of the market share. Research In Motion was third with 11.8%, Motorola fourth with 10.9% and Apple stood fifth with market share of 7.1%.
