There’s something to be said about a mobile phone manufacturer that, up until now, probably wasn’t very well known for being the handset manufacturer behind some popular handsets. For example, the T-Mobile Pulse, which is an Android device currently available for carriers like T-Mobile Hungary, is manufactured by the company. But all that’s about to change, as the OEM is getting ready to launch their very own branded hardware. Unfortunately, it’s missing quite a few features that might make it noticeable to some folks out there.
For example, there’s no word on what the software is quite yet. It’s a basic phone, though, even if it does feature a touchscreen. It’s also got a 1.3MP camera on the back, and an integrated FM radio for your listening pleasure. As for the G7002’s stand-out feature? That’d be its battery life, as the tech-specs page proclaims that the battery will last you upwards of 12 and a half days on stand-by.
The G7002 will be making its way to O2 UK coming up very soon. We don’t know if this is a “good enough” phone for someone looking for their next handset, but it is a pretty remarkable moment for Huawei, as they step into the future with their first-ever self-branded device. Good on them.
