Chips and More fruitfully launches the latest “Zinc” design gadgets and opts for RHIEM as its partner for the development of its latest packaging.
Voerde, 13 October 2010 – Chips and More is the business behind the thriving CnMemory brand. Its “Zinc” design series of hard disk drives and USB sticks has taken the market by storm. The distributor renowned for the quality and reliability of its products has teamed up with RHIEM to develop a new packaging solution for the Limited Edition bundle consisting of a 500 GB ZINC HDD, a 4 GB memory stick and a USB hub with 4ports.
The original packaging has been developed in the shortest of time and matches the unique look of the “Zinc” series conceived by the CnMemory design specialists who have combined the latest memory technology with a glossy and refined design for HDDs, memory sticks and USB hubs. Brushed metal, straight lines and excellent functionality are at the core of the unobtrusive yet eye-catching design of the keenly priced campaign. This approach is reflected in the packaging. State-of-the art technology was used for printing and finishing to produce a hybrid cardboard-plastic packaging.
“The limited edition is only available on the market since a few weeks, and we are delighted with the huge success of the launch. Together with RHIEM, and within the shortest of time, we have been able to develop, sample and produce an innovative packaging solution. Although I already knew that RHIEM was an extremely efficient producer of cardboard packaging, I was still taken aback by the company’s speed and creativity when it came to the combined cardboard-plastic packaging”, utters Alexander Laske, Chief Operations Office at Chips and More.
For the enlargement and fabrication of packaging solutions, RHIEM can rely on its widespread experience and unrivalled proficiency. As the number one contractor of different familiar brand manufacturers in the IT sector, RHIEM has been able to launch itself as a provider of inventive and trustworthy packaging solutions at short turn-around times. “The market we operate in is extremely dynamic, and we therefore require matching packaging concepts from a single provider who can meet our needs quickly and efficiently. The packaging is a key factor for the decision of the consumer to buy a product at the point of sale. Our packaging partner must thus be able to implement all requirements from our marketing, production and purchasing teams“, appends Dr. Stefan Rhiem, CEO of the RHIEM Group.
