The Motorola Defy is being prepped for a widespread ad campaign which the US manufacturer will use to spread the word about this rugged Android smartphone .
Motorola has preclaimed that it is investing millions of pounds in pushing the Defy into the mainstream market, with the first steps in the campaign being taken at the end of the month, presumably so that it can capture the pre-Christmas retail rush and get many consumers signed on to contract deals.
The Defy is fairly typical of Motorola’s mid-range Android releases, coming complete with the MotoBlur interface, which puts a focus on social networking. However, Motorola is set to sell it upon the fact that it is resistant to many types of wear and tear.
The Defy will live up to its name and repel water, rebuff dust and stay free from scratches and if you are someone who owns a mobile, you will know how your phone deals with all sorts of harmful situations, no matter how careful you are.
A spokesperson for Motorola said that the firm was pleased to be expanding its Android catalogue of hardware once more with the arrival of the first Defy deals.
