At this time HTC celebrates the world’s fourth-ranked smartphone dealer position, iSuppli reports.

RIM and Apple have completed on being second and third, with 11.2 million phones and 8.8 million phone sales. RIM though saw a dip in market share with 18.5 percent, slipping vaguely from the first quarter. Apple, in the interim, came down from 15.7 percent to 13.9 percent.

HTC and Samsung quite the reverse have gone leaps and bounds ahead. HTC sold 4.9 million phones, a 63.1 percent chronological rise offering HTC 8.0 percent of the market.

Samsung, sales figure rose by 55.6 percent to 2.8 million handsets, now coinsures nearly 4.6 percent share of the market.

Tina Teng, senior forecaster for wireless communications at iSuppli whispered, “Every brand that has put effort into designing smart phones using Google’s mobile operating system is riding the Android wave. From the spectacular growth of HTC and Samsung, to the steady advances of Motorola, Android is the secret sauce for smart phone growth for many companies in 2010.”
