Your handset may have a lot to say about how often you use your credit card. A financial data company, the average iPhone user charges a lot more money on credit cards than the average customer of Blackberries, Android or Windows Mobile phones.
iPhone punters spend $6,872 a month on average using their credit cards, Pageonce found. The subsequently highest spenders, Blackberry owners, spend $5,693. The least spendy category were people with Windows Mobile phones, who charge an average of $5,076 a month.
That means the average iPhone user charges 35% more than a Windows user every month. It may also have something to do with findings from Nielson, a market research firm, which found that iPhone users tend to be younger and wealthier than other cell phone users.
“Whatever the reason,” Schultz writes, “I’m betting credit card companies would like to get their hands on more iPhone users.”
