HTC Pedia is home to an splendid ROM development and flashing community. Really, it’s because of you guys that we’re all here. This isn’t a post so much as it is a question to you guys: what are your plans come upgrade time?
The mainly admired message board in our forum is (by far and away) the HTC HD2 forum, followed by the forums of the HTC HD2 and the Touch Pro 2. These are all Windows Mobile Devices, and Windows Mobile was always moderately easy to flash ROMs to. But these (except for perhaps the HD2) are older. The HD2 has been out for over a year. The TP2 is nearing two years. The Touch HD is over two years old. None of these handsets can go on perpetually.
So with the news that Windows Phone 7 won’t be as easily hacked, I have to wondering what route most of you will take when the time comes to replace your phones. Will you move to WP7? Conceivably you’ll switch to Android join that molding community. Do any of the other platforms (iOS, WebOS, Blackberry 6) appeal to you? The floor is yours, let us know in the comments below.
