Samsung Galaxy S Review

Posted by admin On December - 14 - 2010

It seems that Samsung has surprised customers and rivals alike with their release of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone. Their design approach comes across as a rip off of the iPhone, something that may have contributed to its success, but yet manages to stand alone as its own piece of technology through its individual capabilities.
The hardware interface itself only has three buttons; two touch sensitive and one mechanical, making it very sleek and suave. At 118g and 6.4cmx12.2cm the handset is light yet with similar dimensions to the iPhone. Unfortunately this lightness can make the phone feel cheap and fragile but this point is only aesthetic and not representative of the Galaxy’s actual quality.
Also, not unlike the iPhone, this body size is mostly taken up by screen at the front of the handset. The quality of this screen on the Galaxy is highly impressive and boasts a better level of quality when compared to phones such as the HTC and at a resolution of 480×800 the Galaxy screen is one of the higher resolution screens on the market today.
Internally the Galaxy has a very intuitive operating system known as the TouchWiz 3.0. This can have a handy number of seven displays and creates a level of usability that is more often known to exist in the iPhone handsets.
Versions of the Galaxy include an 8GB and 16GB handset, but this memory can be expanded with an external card up to 32GB. Hard disk space is a must on these smartphones and generally the higher it is the more attractive the phone is to its intended market.
Samsung have endeavoured to do something here that many thought was impossible. They have introduced a new smartphone into a market that many thought was monopolised and succeeded in displacing the stern critics who claimed that nothing could shift interest away from Apple or HTC. To see all the brilliant features of the samsung galaxy s head over to dialaphone today.
