Verizon has absolute confirmed it will divulge its first LTE phones this week, with rumors of no less than three models. But perchance the leading 4G story for the network is assumption that it has reached an inimitability deal for the next generation of iPhone. Having already made it patent that this week’s Consumer Electronics Show would feature an Android and LTE proclamation, the network has now scheduled a press discussion for Thursday “featuring a sneak peek at consumer-focused, Android-based LTE mobile phones, as well as an update on the company’s 4G LTE network rollout.”
It’s previously known that there’ll be a Motorola gadget on the way, and it now seems this will be the Olympus. It will be powered by dual-core processor, which appears a smart idea given high quality video streaming and calls look to be one of the main selling points of LTE. In the interim, as the stories promising an iPhone on Verizon continue to spring up, one forecaster declares LTE could be the key to a deal. Yar Reiner of Oppenheimer & Co says that given Verizon has thus far been put off by Apple’s inauspicious manufacturer-network gash on phone revenues, the chances are that Apple must have sweetened the deal for the two sides to (apparently) come quicker to an agreement.
