Facebook phones HTC Salsa and HTC ChaCha with Sharing Button

Posted by arm On February - 19 - 2011

HTC just initiated the Salsa and ChaCha at Mobile World Congress 2011 and these Facebook phones will be coming to AT&T soon. The Salsa and ChaCha can be called Facebook phones because these Android-powered gadgets have a committed button for the social network. The idea is that each time you’re looking at something on your handset, you can hit this button and it will be shared on the world’s largest social network. For instance, the HTC Facebook handsets will be able to share photos with a single push of the button. If you’re trying to get into the Places check-in game but hate having to navigate through the apps, the HTC Facebook handsets will check you in if you just hit that button.

The Salsa and ChaCha are not superphones like the Atrix 4G but the HTC Facebook phones could be very, very trendy with punters of the social network. While the gadget names and products for a U.S. release haven’t been finalized, you can bet that the “Facebook phone” will be part of how these handsets are marketed. Picking up the ChaCha and Salsa also shows how AT&T has embraced Android. The company plans to have a strong portfolio of Android gadgets that will include the aforesaid Atrix 4G, the Infuse 4G, the Inspire 4G and multiple tablets. Obviously, the embracing of Android happens to correspond with the business losing uniqueness of the Apple iPhone. Verizon now sells the iPhone and the company said the Verizon iPhone was the fastest-selling phone in its history during the pre-order period.
