Pictures of Gigabyte’s G1305 Android smartphone have textured, observing noticeably divergent from another gadget we had seen. The Codfish, as the G1305 is more curiously known, packs a 5 megapixel camera, 3.2″ touchscreen, and Android 1.6.
Gigabyte’s other rumoured GSmart phone seems like it will be a the petite friend: a 2 megapixel camera, 2.8″ QVGA display, and no 3G pretty much guarantee that it will be under the supposed 200 EUR price point. If both handsets are to be launched in tandem, we could see the G1305 immediately the end of the month.
Gigabyte’s access into the marketplace is inspiring given their history with unconnected hardware, like motherboards and PCs, but it’s a transfiguration that Acer appears to have contentedly made. Factually, Gigabyte trapped with Windows Mobile phones like the S1200, among others, but it gazes like they’re being won over by the budding Android publicity. Obviously, they’ve had diminutive stretch to respond to Windows Phone 7, so who knows if they’ll stick to their roots.
