The new phone, currently known as the X3, will apparently ship with the new Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the glass, and a 1280×720 resolution, 4.7-inch display. Images of new powerful smart phone of LG have been leaked on web world and they are showing a slimmed down version of last year’s Optimus 2X, which includes LG’s standard trio of hardware navigation controls despite the X3 apparently running on the Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android — software that includes the same controls in virtual on-screen buttons. The same rumours are also suggesting LG will include a 2000mAh battery with the X3, which would be a big step up from the 1500mAh battery pack in the Optimus 2X. In conjunction with the power efficiency promised by Nvidia in regards to the Tegra 3 chipset, the X3 could be a phone that runs all day long.

Well, tonight LG’s gone and thrown that fete anyway, introducing us (once again) to its 4.5-incher. But you have to wonder why the company’s even bothering to roll out yet another Gingerbread-baked device when Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus is already out of the gate and leading the Android charge with ICS — not to mention the current availability of rival heavyweights like the Rezound and Droid RAZR. Still, the phone’s packing some very respectable specs, with a “true” HD 1280 x 720 IPS display, dual 1.3 / 8 megapixel shooters, a hefty 20GB of storage and a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8060 processor running the show. Is it too late in the game for LG to make its beast matter?

As you could probably tell by the image above, the DoublePlay not only has a main 3.5-inch touchscreen on its face, but also a second 2-inch touch panel below. The dual displays can work separately or in conjunction with one another, allowing the user to complete several tasks at once. Other specs include a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, 720p video capture, T-Mobile 4G connectivity, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Expect the LG DoublePlay to hit T-Mobile in time for the holidays for an undisclosed price. The DoublePlay isn’t the first Android phone we’ve seen with a dual touchscreen layout, but what makes LG and T-Mobile’s offering different is that it’s got a physical keyboard for those times that you absolutely, positively need the tactility that only a hardware QWERTY can provide.

LG, the company author of the first dual-core Android smartphone, the Optimus 2x, is reportedly ready to launch a new flagship Android phone this year “LG LU+” or LU6200. The device is not yet hitting the LG press release, so this new rumored phone should be taken with a grain of salt. The so-called LG LU6200 will include top-end specs that will compete against the most popular Samsung phone to date, the Samsung Galaxy S II or S2. The new LG Android phone will feature the 4.5-inch touchscreen with the resolution of 1280 x 720 and the phone will reportedly use the AH-IPS display technology. The Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching screen (AH-IPS) of LG has a better color accuracy than AMOLED, the screen technology being used by Samsung.

It will also feature the pixel density of 329ppi, the same pixel density being used by Apple’s iPhone 4′s Retina screen. It is also worth mentioning that the screen resolution of the iPhone 4 is 640 x 960, so we’re very excited to see the 329ppi on a 4.5-inch screen. LG’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy S II be powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, 1GB of RAM and the Adreno 220 GPU. The LG LU6200 will include NFC or Near Field Communication, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. The LG Android phone can also shoot HD videos with the primary 8-megapixel camera and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera. The device weighs 123g only, and will feature the thin profile of 10.5mm.

LG Optimus T is one the devices of the series which is targeted towards customers looking for budgetary Android phones. The carrier of the phone is T-Mobile and LG has tried to equipp the phone with maximum features to attract customers towards itself. LG Optimus T launch has come at a time when demand for Android handsets is on a high. At a first glance you wil find that LG Optimus T T-Mobile looks pretty much the same as that of LG Optimus S.

The phone is constructed of soft-touch, burgundy colored plastic which makes it look pretty good. You will find the same silver accent band as that of Optimus S around the edges of the phone. The phone feels solid on hand. LG Optimus T dimension measures 113.5 x 59 x 13.3 mm which makes it sleek and lets it easily slip into the pocket. The phone weighs 129 grams which is in lines with weight of several other smartphones. LG Optimus T sports a 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touch screen which displays 256K colors of resolution measuring 320×480 pixels. The display is equipped with accelerometer and proximity sensors. The display offers good viewing angles and the tiniest of texts are displayed sharp.

LG’s first Windows Phone 7 handset is impressive: chic and solid in its full metal jacket. The 3.8-inch screen is bright and sharp and the world’s newest mobile OS is responsive thanks to the Optimus 7’s 1GHz chip – BlackBerry take note. Windows Phone7 is as slick as WindowsMobile was, er, not so slick. It looks refreshingly different from the icon-grids found on most other smartphones, with an eyecatching ribbon of tiles and hubs. The People tile constantly changes the snaps of Facebook contacts and the Xbox Lives quares hows your gaming avatar nudging in and out of shot. It’s a neat balance of the overall design which is Microsoft’s and your own customisation. Xbox Live integration creates a formidable gaming platform with a fleet of launch titles, including Flight Control and The Sims3 , with many more on the way.

You can play turn-based multiplayer games too. One of the stipulations of Windows Phone 7 is that the camera button will activate the five-meg camera even if the phone is asleep. One long press and you’re ready to shoot stills or HD video. There’s refreshingly little shutter lag and it’s easy to upload images straight to Facebook or paste them into an email. On the Pictures hub you’ll find shots you’ve taken on the phone plus images from Facebook. It’s all very neatly done. What’s odd about the OS is that WinMo’s business element seems to have been relegated to an after thought. You get the trusty Office suite and Cloud storage from Skydive, but there’s no cut, copy and paste– it’s not going to arrive until 2011. That’s just bloodyweird on a Windows phone.

LG, a prominent cell phone manufacturer is planning to launch 40 new mobile models in the country. The company is focusing on mid and high-end phones. Of the 40 models, 10 to 12 models will be 3G enabled. The mobile phone industry in the country is dynamic and there is a gradual shift from feature-rich phones to smartphones.

Smartphones which accounted for 2-3% of the total sales of mobile phones in the country would go up to 15 to 20% this year. At present LG is expected to increase its market share in the country from 8% to 10%. The company is also planning to add four more 3G enabled gadgets in its highly successful Optimus series by the end of March-April 2011. It is to be noted that LG is facing strong competition from vendors like Nokia, Samsung etc and the launch of the new models will help LG to compete in the crowded Indian handset market.

Korean electronics manufacturer LG took a giant leap in the smartphone segment when it introduced LG Optimus One in the mobile market. Optimus One happened to become the fastest selling phone in the company’s history and now LG plans to sale more than 30 million smartphones this year. It is to be noted that according to IDC’s Worldwide Mobile Phone Tracker, LG’s market share in the fourth quarter of 2010 dipped down to 7.6% from 10% during the same period last year. With the rise in demand for smartphones across the world, it is a superb opportunity for LG to tap the potential of the smartphone segment.

LG also plans to introduce 20 smartphone models across the globe this year and hopes to lure consumers towards it with its high end technology. LG Optimus 3D, one of the smartphones of the company allows users to take pictures and videos in 3D and the company is pretty much excited about the phone. Last year the company planned to sell around 140 million cell phones but could ship only 116.7 million with the handset division suffering an operating loss of around US$ 587 million. The company is also facing intense competition from vendors rolling out affordable handsets with value rich features. Moreover smartphones rolled out by companies like Nokia, HTC, Samsung, Apple etc is further putting pressure on LG. With IDC predicting smartphones to drive the growth of the industry in 2014, Lg’s move has come at an appropriate time.

There was a time when the race was on to make the smallest handsets probable and then manufacturers went off Atkins and they all blew up into inovate smartphones. LG is swinging back the other way with their newest and thinnest: the Optimus Black. While it’s no Motorola Razor, Optimus Black has shown up at CES at only 9.2mm thick — which makes it the world’s thinnest handset — having just eeked out the iPhone’s 9.3mm. She also tips the scales at only 109g, which is feather-light for this category (by comparison the iPhone is 137g). LG hasn’t sacrificed what’s significant to consumers to hit these benchmarks as it boasts a 4-inch NOVA screen which makes it easy to view in straight sunlight.

It will have a front-facing camera built-in too for those who love the video chat, alongside a 5 megapixel rear camera, and will also be the first smartphone with Wi-Fi Direct. Other than that LG is pretty shy on the details so we don’t know what kind of engine is powering this scrawny small thing, but keep your eyes peeled as further details should emerge during Q1. Apparently coming out in the first half of 2011 Optimus Black is something to look forward to but for some unknown reason it will be launched with Android 2.2 (Froyo) instead of being sent direct to souk with 2.3 (Gingerbread). So now that LG has set the new benchmark for “thin” we have an emotion the other smartphones at CES will be skipping the Bellagio’s all-you-can-eat buffet, at least for a few meals.

The Quantum is the only hardware QWERTY Windows Phone. And that’s enough to set it apart in an bionetwork where all Windows phones remain to Microsoft’s minimum specs .

The Quantum feels good in hand thanks to a soft touch terminate and metal back. It’s thicker and heavier than the Samsung Focus, and analogous in size and weight to the HTC Surround that has a sound bar slider.

As with the rest of the Windows Phone 7 launch models, the Quantum has a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, 3G HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, a GPS and 16 gigs of storage. The slider phone shares the same 800 x 480 resolution as the other models but it’s a smaller LCD at 3.5″.
