The two SIM cards indicate that you have got 2 phone numbers at your disposal, for instance: one for work and one for your personal life. You can use data according to your plan, regardless of the SIM. Samsung Galaxy’s Duos and Duos Pro phones run on the GSM technology (850/900/1800/1900 MHz bands) and are armed with Samsung’s TouchWiz software.

Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is equipped with a 3.1-inch QVGA (243 x 320) touchscreen, with a 3-megapixel camera, HSDPA modem, microSD storage expandable up to 32GB and an powerful 832MHz processor that runs on all-touch Android 2.3 Gingerbread, armed with a 1,300mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos runs the same Android version and has a full QWERTY keyboard on its candy-bar frame. Thus, the screen is a smaller 2.6 inches, further the smartphone is packed with a 3-megapixel camera on the back, with a front-facing VGA camera and armed with1, 350mAh battery.

Samsung’s Duos and Duos Pro are equipped with almost same features, under the hood. The company states that both the phones at first will launch in Russia in January. Later, the Galaxy Y Duos will strike the Europe, Latin America, CIS, Africa, Southeast and Southwest Asia, the Middle East, and China. While, the Galaxy Y Pro Duos will strike the Europe, Latin America, Southwest Asia, the Middle East, CIS, and Africa. Unfortunately, at the moment Samsung did not revealed any exact information regarding the price tag of Duos and Duos Pro smartphones.

That would be the Motorola Droid Bionic, in my opinion. I’ve tested and used both of the 4G handsets, and although the Droid Bionic feels like a more premium, upscale product than the Galaxy S II, in terms of materials and finishes used, the Bionic also is a bit thicker, heavier and more expensive. The Droid Bionic sells for $300 on a two-year contract exclusively through Verizon Wireless.

The Galaxy S II sells for $200 on a two-year contract through Sprint and will soon launch on T-Mobile and AT&T. Both the Droid Bionic and the Galaxy S II have similar specs with dual-core processors, 16 gigabytes of on-board storage, 8-megapixel cameras and nice, large touch displays. The Samsung Galaxy S II also is considered by many to be the largest threat at this point to the Apple iPhone 4. Want proof? Apple is suing Samsung in the U.S., Europe and Asia in an attempt to get the Galaxy S II stripped for store shelves, alleging patent infringement.

Over the weekend, a Samsung-focused tech blog triggered speculation around the blogosphere that Samsung will stop making Windows Phone devices by 2013. Samsung will end Windows Phone support by the end of 2012. Responding to an avalanche of responses, Windows Phone market is smaller than Samsung’s own OS bada. The Samsung Focus S and Flash are follow-ups to the best-selling Windows Phone in the U.S., 2010′s Samsung Focus. AT&T also plans to launch the HTC Titan, another Mango device, in the fall. The next version of Windows Phone, codenamed Mango, will feature a host of new features, including the ability to create groups in the People hub. Facebook will be deeply integrated into many aspects of the OS, and email and Office will all receive an upgrade. Additionally, Mango will feature support for multitasking, which can ultimately lead to home-screen tiles being updated with data from apps running in the background.

Unlike any American or European company, Samsung Electronics manufactures smartphones and their memory chips, TVs and their screens, computers and their hard drives. They’re the only entity that’s both arms dealer and aggressor in the midst of the biggest arms race the tech world has ever seen. (Meanwhile, their sister companies in theSamsung Group build both ships and skyscrapers, sell life insurance, and operate theme parks.) Their revenue exceeds that of Apple or Microsoft, and their global reach is unparalleled.

Sure, they’re fighting a massive patent war with Apple around the world – but at the same time, every iPhone is 26% Samsung; even if they lose every legal battle, every iPad/iPhone/iTouch sale will still cha-ching in part into Samsung’s coffers. Their flagship phones and devices are Android, but they also maintain their own entirely separate Bada smartphone platform, and have even kept one finger in the MeeGo pie, while declining to acquire it. Oh, yes, and they’re also apparently launching a Windows 8 tablet any day now.

Bada is Samsung ‘s own smartphone OS. It was first launched last year. Today we have very little information about the new gadgets, but one appears to be the Samsung Wave 3, successor to the well known line of Bada devices. The other two mobile devices are the Samsung GT-S5360 and the Samsung GT-S7250D, which will run on Bada 2.0 software. Samsung said last year it would remove some support from Android and Windows Mobile in an effort to try their hand at Bada. The phones are expected to launch in September.

According to the individual listings, you’ll be able to buy black or white versions of the 10.1, with each model also coming in 3G and wi-fi only options. Which means you can have any of the below configurations:

16GB, wi-fi only, black

16GB, wi-fi only, white

16GB, 3G, black

16GB, 3G, white

32GB, wi-fi only, black

32GB, wi-fi only, white

32GB, 3G, black

32GB, 3G, white

64GB, wi-fi only, black

64GB, wi-fi only, white

64GB, 3G, black

64GB, 3G, white

Absolutely insane. A total logistical nightmare for the boys in the warehouse. The August 4th launch date only applies to the cheaper black & white wi-fi only models, which will arrive on that day for £399. The 3G models and the larger capacity variants will launch throughout August, with the top-spec 64GB 3G model costing a whopping £659.99 and arriving on August 23rd.

Android phones just keep getting better. They still have some of the same problems, but the phones are increasingly becoming more powerful and user-friendly. One of the most recent to hit the market is the Nexus S 4G from Samsung. It’s available from Sprint for $149.99 with a two-year contract. The Nexus S 4G is a beautiful gadget with a sleek black casing that frames a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen. The smartphone has two cameras: one is a 5 mega-pixel camera on the back and the other is a VGA camera facing from the front of the phone. The Nexus S 4G doesn’t have a slot. This phon e handles Sprint’s 4G network, which is the next generation of connection speeds.

The Nexus S 4G runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. My favorite is the improved keyboard. It feels faster, more responsive, and makes coping and pasting a little easier. I actually had to search the internet to find other changes Gingerbread brought to the Android platform. The Nexus S 4G is among the best Android phones I’ve tested ever. It looks great and features an improved version of the Android platform. Aspiring photographers will find it can take some really great HD videos. I wish it had a memory card slot and that the camera did better with bad lighting. But its ability to handle 3G and 4G gives it a longer life and gets you ready for when Phoenix makes the Sprint 4G.

Samsung sold 12.6 million units of cell phones in the United States and Canada which accounted for 27.4% of the market. LG Electronics came second with the company selling 7.8 million units of cell phones. Apple Inc grabbed the third spot to become the third largest mobile phone vendor in the North American market.

However, the first quarter did not prove fruitful for RIM and Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc as market share of these firms fell to less than 8%. The report also said that Samsung And Nokia were the top cell phone vendors in western Europe during the first quarter of 2011. Meanwhile, Samsung also plans to lift global sales of its mobiles phone this year by about 7% to 300 million units. The global cell phone market is witnessing rapid increase and with emerging markets like India, several cell phone vendors are expected to notch up higher business and revenues in coming days.

Running Android 2.2 (Froyo), the seven-inch plasticencased tablet is half the weight of the iPad, at 380g, and you can make phone calls on it. It’s the missing link between the iPad and the Dell Streak, but will it be a success? First up, though it’s smaller than the iPad’s, the seven-inch screen is nonetheless bright, sharp and very responsive to pinches, taps and swipes.

Video playback – even of HD video scaled down to the Tab’s 1024×600-pixel resolution–is smooth and watchable thanks to the Tab’s 1GHz processor. Samsung obviously thinks video will be a big selling point as there’s a dedicated Samsung Movies app on hand to access well-stocked video download service AceTrax. There’s plenty of storage for all that video too, with 16 or 32GB of onboard memory and a microSD slot for up to a further 32GB. Unlike on the iPad you can make calls and send texts using 3G and it takes a standard SIM not a micro one.

Hands-free voice quality isn’t bad, though it’s hard to picture anyone using the Tab for voice calls without a Bluetooth earpiece–it’s even bigger than the comically large Dell Streak. The supplied browser is swift and with Froyo you get Flash compatibility but, as with all Androids, a new browser such as Dolphin HD, free from Android Market, makes browsing a more pleasurable experience, adding tabs and customisable gesture controls. There’s a rear-facing three-meg camera and a front-facing 1.3-meg cam for video calling, although Skype doesn’t support video calls on Android, it’s voice only.

With RIM’s BlackBerry gadgets becoming more and more well-liked here in the UK, it is no revelation that other makers are looking to take pro of that triumph. Whereas they may not be able to imitate BBM or other BlackBerry-specific features, they are trying to reproduce one of the most stick out features of the phones – a full portrait QWERTY keyboard. Recently Nokia came out with the C3 and even HTC’s two Facebook phones sported the physical keyboards. Now Samsung has thrown the Galaxy Pro into the mix.
The Galaxy Pro has a 2.8in capacitive touchscreen display, runs Android Froyo (overlayed with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI) and is powered by a 800MHz processor of unfamiliar attribution. It comes with a 3 megapixel autofocus camera on the back and Wi-Fi but other than that provision are a little thin on the ground. Nevertheless we do know that carrier Three will be offering the Galaxy Pro when it arrives – though pricing or a specific release date are not known yet. Will this QWERTY keyboard phone be able to entice some BlackBerry customers to convert to Samsung or will the presence of Froyo and an 800MHz processor put them off?
