The Samsung Wave II is to be released next month in Germany and will be coming to market with a larger screen and a little updated Bada operating system.
The smartphone, which is also recognized as the S8530, will have a Super Clear LCD touchscreen display that packs the same resolution as its predecessor with 480 x 800 pixels.
Countless the handsets other features are analogous to the unique Wave, aka the S8500, including its five-megapixel camera with HD video recording, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 1.5GB of internal storage that can be increased to 32GB with a MicroSD card and its ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor.
Samsung issued a press release in Germany saying the handset will be accessible in November and will be €429 (£371).
It’s not known when the Samsung Wave II will be released in the UK or how much it will cost.
Samsung Wave 723 and Wave 2 and 2 Pro
We had been in the offing for the launch of the Samsung Wave 2 and Wave 2 Pro, aka the S5250 and S5330, since they were declared three months ago with an anticipated August release date.
The Samsung Wave 723 has also been revealed since then and was expected to reach market by the end of September.
Nevertheless, unlike the Wave II, these three mobiles are more tailored for the mid-lower end of the smartphone market. The Wave 2 and 2 Pro both do not support 3G, have three-megapixel cameras and 3.2 inch touchscreens with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels.
The Samsung Wave 2 Pro does have a QWERTY keyboard, which may plea to those who want a Bada-powered phone as well as a full keyboard.
There’s also been reports that the Wave 723 and Wave 2 Pro are about to go on sale in Spain with a €279 (£241) and €239 (£207) price tags correspondingly.
